A new initiative has finally arrived to relaunch tourism after the black period marred by the pandemic. This initiative takes the name of FRI-TUR, or Revolving Business Fund to support businesses and development investments in tourism. Basically it is a Tourism Fund of almost 1.4 billion created to redevelop accommodation facilities according to modern standards in order to promote their complete digitization and sustainable progress.
The entire initiative, which is configured within the programs of the PNRR, has as protagonists the Ministry of Tourism, the Invitalia agency with the role of manager and with the participation of Abi – Italian Banking Association and Cdp – Cassa depositi e prestiti.
Starting from 30 January it is possible to consult the specific digital platform which allows you to download all the useful documentation and also submit an application from 1 March 2023.
Who are the beneficiaries and the interventions covered?
The incentives can be requested by accommodation facilities including hotels, farmhouses, bathing establishments and spas, trade fairs, congressional facilities, tourist ports and much more. The interventions that can be facilitated are the following:
-anti-seismic requalification;
-energy requalification;
-elimination of architectural barriers;
-construction of thermal pools (only for spas);
-extraordinary maintenance, restoration and conservative rehabilitation, building renovation, installation of light products;
-digitization works;
-purchase or renovation of furniture.
Initially it was an allocation of 180 million euros which, however, was integrated with a further 600 million euros approved by Cipress over time, to which must also be added loans of the same amount disbursed by the banking sector at market conditions. The intervention projects, which must involve eligible expenses between 500 thousand and 10 million euros, must be carried out by 31 December 2025 and comply with national and European environmental law.
The contributions that will be evaluated by the Invitalia agency will be divided into two types of facilitation:
direct contribution to the expense
subsidized financing

The application for access to the incentive can be made from 12 noon on 1 March 2023 until 12 noon on 31 March next. But as previously reported, it is already possible to download the documentation at the following link.
